Baryonyx: Queen of the Swamp (The Drowned Earth game)

The Drowned Earth game is played on a 3 X 3 foot mat.

"Once, The world of The Drowned Earth was the home of a great, futuristic civilisation. Their cities spanned the globe, and they were beginning to conquer the solar system.

A terrible cataclysm ended that civilization. For hundreds of years nature reclaimed the earth, prehistoric monsters ruled the wilds, while the survivors of the cataclysm known as "The Event" struggled to survive."

I had an absolute blast painting this one. Of all the dinosaurs for the "The Drowned Earth" game she is my favorite. I needed a little help in color choices, but once I got started it was a breeze. 

Looking forward to painting another twenty some dinosaurs before I even finish my Bondsmen faction.

SF3D or Ma.K. My other two Dollhouse miniatures completed

 Well I finished the last two Dollhouse's of the three I had (actually four but the other is triple A variant). So it's photo dump time. The pictures include four shots of each Dollhouse, a group shot, and a comparison shot to the Nutrocker.

Just as a refresher, the scale is 15mm (and can be purchased from Slave 2 Gaming just click on this to go to his store), and there is no standard set of rules for these miniatures. 

The franchise originally began as the science fiction series SF3D which ran as monthly installments in the Japanese hobby magazine Hobby Japan from 1982 to 1985. To develop the storyline, Kow Yokoyama collaborated with Hiroshi Ichimura as story editor and Kunitaka Imai as graphic designer. The three creators drew visual inspiration from their combined interest in World War I and World War II armor and aircraft, the American space program and films such as Star Wars, Blade Runner and The Road Warrior. Inspired by the ILM model builders who worked on Star Wars, Yokoyama built the original models from numerous kits including armor, aircraft, and automobiles (model kits becoming available normally in 1:20 scale). He mostly concentrated on powered armor suits, but later included bipedal walking tanks and aircraft with anti-gravity systems.

In 1986, there was a dispute with Hobby Japan over the copyright of the series. The magazine dropped SF3D from its line-up of articles and Nitto ceased production of various kits of the series. The matter was tied up in the courts for years until Yokoyama was awarded the full copyright to the series in the 1990s. Yokoyama and Hobby Japan eventually reconciled and restarted their working relationship, ditching the old SF3D name in favor of Maschinen Krieger ZbV3000, otherwise known as Ma.K.

I did a little something special on one of the Dollhouse's by drilling out a hatch and placing a crew member in it. I have some spare sprues in 15 for Stuart tanks so I used a hatch (sanded down to what I wanted), crew member (US crewman because the helmets for period make sense), and that's also the kit I got the external fuel drums for the Dollhouses. The hoses that go to the launchers are paperclips cut and bent to fit between turret and launcher with a Gundam spring cut and pulled over the paperclip and then glued into holes on the side of turret and launcher.

MA.K Maschinen Krieger (SF3D) Dollhouse

 Goodness it's been almost a year since I've painted anything MA.K. but here I am. The first of three Dollhouse's I am painting. It probably helped that there are new models coming out soon to get the hype going.

The Dollhouse is the Independent Mercenary Army (IMA) answer to the Strahl Democratic Republic (SDR) Nutrocker or Nutcracker. I've posted a photo of the Nutrocker below for reference.

Battletech Genyosha project

Finished another four mechs for my growing Genyosha project. A Banshee, Trebuchet, Hunchback, and a Thug (never go full Thug or people will start talking about you behind your back). 

I need to paint at least another 12 to get where I want them to be. That would give me 28 mechs, but next are four more for my Kell Hound project.

Another Saga Army: Attila and his Hun's

 Painted another Saga Army up about a month ago and just getting around to post some pictures. I need to paint another 12 cavalry and 12 infantry to have all the options I want, but burned out for now and waiting for my muse to get me going again, but that won't stop me posting what I have so far.

The Hun's with lance's are my Hearthguard and other than rebasing and flocking them, they were painted by my friend, and same goes for infantry. I painted Attila and the three groups of bow armed horsemen.

Middle Earth Battle Strategy game: Wild Warg Chieftain

 Added another model for my MEBS game faction the Angmar. I've painted up the Wild Warg Chieftain which will lead a pack of Warg's on the table for me.

I really like this models dramatic pose. It's a metal model so it's pretty hefty, and it was fun to paint. 

Now that this is done I've moved on to painting the Witch King on horseback, and foot. Not sure what I will tackle after that as I am going back and forth between game systems. I am painting stuff to the rule of cool and where ever my heart takes me. A lot more fun painting that way, but it is a little slower gathering enough pieces to have a force.

This is my model! There are many like it, but this one is mine!

Scottish Highland Cows and everything you wanted to know about their kilt wearing!

 Okay they don't really wear kilts, but how cool would that be for some fantasy-Scifi futuristic race I ask you?

These 3D prints were made for me to my size specifications by Oldsarges , he has the license so he can print stuff for you if you need something that's different from the main mini manufactures lines. 

These two bases of 6 cattle complete the required number of bases I need for objective markers for the skirmish miniature game of Saga. They have a book on Magic, but it's mostly historical armies, which is my gig.

Here they are in all their mooing glory (or is that mooning if they were wearing kilts?)....
