Not much time to paint lately as I have had to play the role of nurse's aid for last couple of weeks. I did get a chance to knock out three more models for my growing SF3D sci-fi collection. Hopefully soon I'll be able to put on another game using the sci-fi rules Gruntz.

The secret society meets for a mini con
While many went to one of our local conventions "Pro or Con" at the Elk's Lodge, my fellow Freemason brothers gathered for our own mini con. We played a miniature game followed by a boardgame. Gruntz (a scifi miniature ruleset) was the miniature game played, and Terraforming Mars the boardgame.
I will present the pre game terrain setup along with some pictures of the fluff and orders given out to players. I will present commentary as the game proceeds along after each group of pictures.
[below pre game setup with some pictures of the SDR units. All Terrain, other than the hill in the upper left corner was considered slow go terrain or rough. Units would be halved moving through these areas, but could move normal if they sacrificed firing to do a double move. The three blue buttons are the debris areas the SDR has to investigate by spending an action while in base contact with them.]

MA.K Maschinen Krieger (SF3D) Command stands
Ladies and Gentlemen! Are you ready to have your minds blown? Your faces melted? Well without further ado let me rock it out for you.
I present to you my Commanders for the IMA and the SDR, plus a little something I put together for the IMA. It's a WWII Humber Armored car. One of my favorite vehicles and I felt just fit in for the IMA. I am going to call it the Bushwhacker, and it's gun will be nick named the Kröte Knocker. God I love this shizzle!
Enjoy the pics!

MA.K Maschinen Krieger (SF3D) AFS Mk2’s for the Mercenaries
Howdy there Cowboys and Cowgirls! Ma. K super fan here, aka "Zhodani Commando ". Bringing you some Super Armored Fighting Suit goodness!
I've completed painting up a company of AFS Mk2's for my upcoming game this Saturday using the rules "Gruntz". I've pretty much settled on these rules as my ruleset of choice after some long hard thought. It crosses the T's and dots the I's of all my needs. One of the things I am creating beside stats, is an OOB. Tank platoons are on average 5 vehicles. So I am going with the Gruntz rules of 6 figures for a unit and call that my platoon. So I have 18 figures done (or three platoons to a company).
I've color coded the backs of the stands as my over 60 decals placed on these bad boyz will not be easily seen by us old men. So the platoons are color coded, and the Sergeant has an added S to the color code for command purposes.
The following pictures are of 15mm metal scifi from Slave2Game miniatures. The Ma. K universe started way, way back in the late 70's I believe and were 1:20 scale plastic kits. It had a hardcore small fan base, and still does. Slave2game finally brought these wonderful designs to the game table.

MA.K Maschinen Krieger (SF3D) 15mm
Finished my first company for my Super Armored Fighting Suits science fiction genre miniature game, and I have called the unit the 79th Sundowners. I also painted up a platoon of walkers and I have named them the 1st Top hat Death Bringers. I believe that these bad boyz are remote driven or have AI on board, I can't remember.
This feat gets me to a point where I have enough troops to play for one side. My intent now is to paint the opposition up and I already have some good ideas for the paint schemes.
In the meantime please enjoy the following pictures. The powered Armor suits are called Gustavs and have a laser (I always picture doctor Evils face when I say "laser") in their left arm. The giant walkers have a Gatling canon in their turrets.
