I finally got off my butt and finished my first Carthaginian elephant for the Age of Hannibal book for Saga. I've only had the models for like two years now.
I actually finished the model a little over two weeks ago, got it all set up to take pictures, only to discover my very old camera had died. It's not a very fancy camera, but it's like an old friend and I was super bummed. It is an old Kodak 10.3 mega pixel camera that takes great pictures of my models. I've replaced the lithium battery once, but Kodak doesn't make them anymore so I outsourced to another supplier and I got it yesterday on the cheap and it worked. Whew, problem solved.
So here are a few shots, and the one without the Howdah mounted shows how I magnetized it for easier storage and to help protect all the little pointy bits.
Awesome looking Carthaginian elie and tower, Kevin! It'll be a centerpiece for any table.
ReplyDeleteThank you sir, most appreciated. Hopefully I can get some more done soon and move forward with Age of Hannibal.

This thing is incredible. People will be gawking at your army when you play with it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave, hopefully enough gawking to throw my opponent off with😁
DeleteCracking Carthaginian ellie Kevin! Great idea with the magnetised removable howdah.
ReplyDeleteThank you sir, now I just have to paint a thousand more models to catch up with your collection!

Magnificent piece! Clever to magnetize the howdah.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jonathan, the idea just popped in my head when I was thinking about the depth of my foam trays.
