Blog discription

What will you find here? Ramblings from an aging gamer-miniature painter. When I first started out in this hobby computers were in their infancy and finding other gamers could only be done by going to conventions or as in my case bumping into somebody who happened to see me reading "Panzer Leader" on the school bus. Look how far we have come! The internet has allowed our small community to be able to connect on a level I never dreamed of when I was but a small lad. What I do hope you will find here is something interesting from one wargamer/miniature painter to another. I paint miniatures somewhat decently, so I will be posting some pictures of my work, and perhaps a review or two of games and/or miniatures. Most of all this is just about having fun and anything I post here is meant to be for that reason.

Star Wars: The Spectre Project

So the last few weeks have not been the greatest. Family events caused me to not feel the painting vibe and that's okay. Then May 4th came along and I decided to let the Force take me away from the real world events in my family and drift off into brush land. It's incredible how soothing painting can be.

So I've had these Star Wars Legion models, like forever, and decided to finally paint them up. Not using the rules Star Wars Legion, but instead Spectre. Will see how that works. I've quite a bit more to do but I'll get to them one day as I say I will... hopefully.

I present my first ever Storm Troopers, Some Rebel Pathfinders done in US Army ACU colors, and lastly Rebel Troopers in Jungle camo.

As always thanks for looking.

Cheers
Kevin

  1. They look really fabulous, I do love all of them. You are right, if ypu don't feel like painting it's just ok, I hope you found your mojo again. Good job!

  2. Looking good! White can be very difficult to get right, not enough shading/highlights and it looks bland, toomuch and it looks cartoonish. You have struck a perfect balance

  4. All those guys look great! I think the camo turned out nicely. I especially like the mirrored effect on the goggles.
