What will you find here? Ramblings from an aging gamer-miniature painter. When I first started out in this hobby computers were in their infancy and finding other gamers could only be done by going to conventions or as in my case bumping into somebody who happened to see me reading "Panzer Leader" on the school bus. Look how far we have come! The internet has allowed our small community to be able to connect on a level I never dreamed of when I was but a small lad. What I do hope you will find here is something interesting from one wargamer/miniature painter to another. I paint miniatures somewhat decently, so I will be posting some pictures of my work, and perhaps a review or two of games and/or miniatures. Most of all this is just about having fun and anything I post here is meant to be for that reason.

Age of Chivalry: Condottieri Army Italian Knights and Warlord

So my friend had me paint up these Mirliton figures from Italy. His horse choices made it hard for me to make color decisions. As I was looking through historical drawings and such I discovered that it wasn't uncommon for this period to paint their armor. At least I was able to give some color to them since it's supposed to be the early Italian War period just before everyone went gonzo on fancy ribbons and slashed clothing. Lastly I do not have a steady enough hand to be able to paint fanciful designs on the armor but I managed it a bit on the flag. Hopefully the color choices I used on the horses barding will draw the eye enough.

So here is my interpretation of that time.

As always thanks for looking.

Cheers
Kevin

  2. All that "Gunmetal" does make variety hard but, you have overcome! These look really good. Just enough color on the knights. The command group looks outstanding! Well done.
