I am having fun painting these as well as experimenting. Sometimes I feel like I am on the edge of a breakthrough with my painting, that I am discovering something new, and then it fades away. Just have to keep tooling away and hope I get better with the practice. What is fun is painting just one figure and moving on to a different one. Hopefully it will help me when I need to paint a dozen at a time. Time will tell.
Cheers

Looking good! Having read your blog from start to finish, I would probably say that the main thing that I have seen improve would be your control over the paint. Highlights in the right spots, etc.
ReplyDeleteSteven that has got to be the best compliment I've gotten on my blog. That you took the time to look closely is most appreciated. As a painter I don't always feel like I'm progressing or learning. So thank you, and I hope you found my ramblings entertaining as well:)

Experimenting just makes you grow in different directions and strengthens you. Which shows a true artist. I don't see your flaws/ I see wonderful pieces of art. Love you bro
ReplyDeleteThanks Terri, I agree and always hope. I have to say the story you shared with me about one of your students really warmed my heart. That just showing him some of my toys helped make his day a little better, brought an unexpected joy I never could have imagined with my hobby.

More fine work. I can't believe how big the wolf dude is. The Tohaa are wee compared to these guys.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dave, can't wait to see your Tohaa!
