What will you find here? Ramblings from an aging gamer-miniature painter. When I first started out in this hobby computers were in their infancy and finding other gamers could only be done by going to conventions or as in my case bumping into somebody who happened to see me reading "Panzer Leader" on the school bus. Look how far we have come! The internet has allowed our small community to be able to connect on a level I never dreamed of when I was but a small lad. What I do hope you will find here is something interesting from one wargamer/miniature painter to another. I paint miniatures somewhat decently, so I will be posting some pictures of my work, and perhaps a review or two of games and/or miniatures. Most of all this is just about having fun and anything I post here is meant to be for that reason.

Lunar: Blacksite Studio's Commonwealth Astronauts

So Blacksite studios released some more astronauts for their game Lunar. These are Commonwealth Astro’s from different parts of the old empire. I saw this paint scheme from Facebook group and really liked it so I copied it. My friend Mark (I guess he’s my friend) will make fun of these in some way and can’t wait to hear what he thinks of these boyz (this is a test to see if he really reads the blog).

    Dude... 4 colors? "Hmmmm" I say to myself... "should I lie?" NO.
    The castings look good. Looks to be a fun game. You stayed within the lines.

    Sweet-looking stuff, what would moon surface camo look like? All light gray and black in a splinter type pattern? Recoil from regular firearms would be interesting to manage at 1/6 gravity, rockets (RPG/LAWS) might become orbital.....looks like they would have to resort to pistols and hand weapons

      That sounds neat but it might take away that moon landing feel because they are not professional soldiers, most are scientists or pilots etc.

      Though today I just got news they are coming out with a mass game and are going to be making their first plastic figures. Pre order happens next Friday. Have to see how that all goes.
