Blog discription

What will you find here? Ramblings from an aging gamer-miniature painter. When I first started out in this hobby computers were in their infancy and finding other gamers could only be done by going to conventions or as in my case bumping into somebody who happened to see me reading "Panzer Leader" on the school bus. Look how far we have come! The internet has allowed our small community to be able to connect on a level I never dreamed of when I was but a small lad. What I do hope you will find here is something interesting from one wargamer/miniature painter to another. I paint miniatures somewhat decently, so I will be posting some pictures of my work, and perhaps a review or two of games and/or miniatures. Most of all this is just about having fun and anything I post here is meant to be for that reason.

Battletech: Kell Hounds Zeus

The Greek God Zeus is such an appropriate name for this awesome Mech.

An 80 ton monster fast enough to keep up with most heavy mechs, and eleven and a half tons of standard armor and a versatile weapons array, capable of defeating them.

Here is my latest entry to my Kell Hound collection, the Zeus!

Huron warrior and an Atlas from the Battletech world to on the completed shelf.

Overwhelmed and a little burned out from painting other peeps minis, I am all over the place on what I really want to focus on for me. I think I am going to finish my Huron's as I only have five figures to go. Then I will finish three more Kell Hound Mechs to flush out my Assault lance. Then I have to work my way back to painting some more figures for "other" peoples collections.

Below we have a Huron warrior with a warclub, and below that an Atlas Assault Mech for my Kell Hound lance. The 2nd wave of Kickstarter stuff is on it's way to me and this is probably why I am getting excited to paint some more Battletechs.

Macedonian Warlord

Finished the Warlord for the Macedonian Saga Army. Going to set the rest of these aside for a few as I am a bit burned out on them, but at least there is enough to game with for now.

More Flint and Feather

So being that these are pre contact woodland Indians I had to really think about colors. The hardest part being the warpaint and tattoos. I want colors for this to be different for each Indian, but I also want them tied together for a theme. For me it will be easier to pick out who's who on the table top since it's Indian on Indian.

Here are my first four. I want 14 painted for each side, then after a few battles I can add more if I need to. I also have the Canoe set, and the woodland animals, and I definitely want that on the table.

Flint and Feather

I've been overwhelmed by different projects, but I got a little me time and painted up my first test Indian miniature from Crucible Crush. Their ruleset is called Flint and Feather. Haven't tried it out yet but if I turn out not to be a fan I'll use them for the ruleset Tribal.

These miniatures are pre contact and are nicely detailed. I thought how hard is it to paint half naked dudes. Turns out pretty hard! These guys got a lot of busy details and they take a bit of patients to paint up.

The Quar War terrain boards… I have taken possession!

Anton the Master Blaster beyond Thunder Dome terrain building extraordinaire has done it again!

I took possession of the terrain boards today and have to say my Quar are pleased! Hell I am ecstatic!

Thank you Mr. Anton, you continue to amaze me.

Without further ado here are some snap shots and hopefully my little video can be seen. On the bottom right corner of vid there is a four corner box you can tap or click on to make video bigger.
