Blog discription

What will you find here? Ramblings from an aging gamer-miniature painter. When I first started out in this hobby computers were in their infancy and finding other gamers could only be done by going to conventions or as in my case bumping into somebody who happened to see me reading "Panzer Leader" on the school bus. Look how far we have come! The internet has allowed our small community to be able to connect on a level I never dreamed of when I was but a small lad. What I do hope you will find here is something interesting from one wargamer/miniature painter to another. I paint miniatures somewhat decently, so I will be posting some pictures of my work, and perhaps a review or two of games and/or miniatures. Most of all this is just about having fun and anything I post here is meant to be for that reason.

Saga Muslim Heavy Cavalry

There are three Muslim factions in the Age of Crusade Saga book. Each one of them has some unique equipment options and/or a look. I've painted these Heavy boys with swords pulled charging into the fray to use them, well, for Heavy Cavalry no special options. But they easily can be sprinkled amongst the others I am painting in case I am short a few figures.

Here are a few shots of my completed unit.

As always thanks for looking.

Cheers
Kevin

  2. Dang those are pretty! The "swords out" look really good too. I would not have ever done that myself but, looking at these beauties, I intend to do a unit like that too! Amazing!

    1. All I could envision when I decided to do this was the scene from Lawrence of Arabia. Lawrence losing his mind and shouting NO PRISONERS, and as the charge began and Omar Sharif getting swept away in the charge saying God… god… god

  3. That is some great painting; and you have got those figures in natural looking poses- something that others seem to have struggled with when assembling that kit.
