What will you find here? Ramblings from an aging gamer-miniature painter. When I first started out in this hobby computers were in their infancy and finding other gamers could only be done by going to conventions or as in my case bumping into somebody who happened to see me reading "Panzer Leader" on the school bus. Look how far we have come! The internet has allowed our small community to be able to connect on a level I never dreamed of when I was but a small lad. What I do hope you will find here is something interesting from one wargamer/miniature painter to another. I paint miniatures somewhat decently, so I will be posting some pictures of my work, and perhaps a review or two of games and/or miniatures. Most of all this is just about having fun and anything I post here is meant to be for that reason.

Deathwing Terminators for Space Hulk "Assault Cannon"

Number 2 of 5 has been finished. Been a struggle between deciding whether to sit down and paint or do some gaming. Gaming has been winning out of late. But I was able to sneak in a few sessions and finish my Assault Gun toting Terminator. I also received my 30mm wooden bases from Litko and cut some plastruct up to place down on the base to try and give a space ship steel plank deck feel. I dunno know if it works or not but the colors came out all right I think. I kept thinking of the Cargo Bay in the movie Aliens so I painted a yellow marking line on it to spruce it up. The 40mm bases the figure comes with is too big to use in the game Space Hulk so I had to custom make these so they would fit on the game board.

So without further ado here are a few shots and hope you enjoy them:)

  1. Way nice! Dang Kev! That is one fine machine. I am tempted to look into this....

I like the base idea..... Perfect!

    1. Thanks Skip, they are a ton of work, but very happy when I finish one. It gives that sense of accomplishment that all that time put into it was worth it.
