American War of Independence Project: Loyalist Militia

Finished a 12 man strong Loyalist Militia unit for Sharpe's Practice. Not a lot of information is avalible for the kind of flags they carried.  Loyalist militia units in the American Revolutionary War (AWI) did carry flags (or "colours"), often incorporating British symbols like the Union Jack, but they varied greatly from Patriot flags, sometimes simpler, sometimes featuring Loyalist emblems or unit designations, with examples like regimental colours for British regulars often distinct from militia banners.

So here I just went generic with the flags. Showing that this paticular militia unit was better orginized so would have one.

As always thanks for looking.

Cheers
Kevin

  1. These guys definitely look like militia. Very nice. The "colours" do look brilliant.

    1. Why thank you Iain, 250 this year, but I sort of fell into it rather than doing it because of it.
