Border Wars: Under a Reiver Moon.... The Broken Men

I've added to my Border Wars collection today with 6 mounted Reivers. These are from Flags of War Border Wars collection and are called the Broken Men. Back from the war, destitute, and perhaps no large family name to lean on. They would rustle up horses, cattle, etc. to make a shilling here and there, or perhaps pick up a writ from the Warden to hunt down someone like themselves that have been causing to much trouble.

As always thanks for looking.

Cheers
Kevin

  2. They look Great but, I really miss a satin finish to a miniature. I think a bit of a satin stain wash would really set these boys right off!

Now, I do understand, different people have different styles and preferences and mine are different than yours. I'm just a- missin the "sparkle."

    1. Thanks Skippy, yeah I hear you, and you are correct not my style. Three layer painter here and that’s about it.

But perhaps I can interest you to try the 45 Jacobite rebellion again so you can amaze me once more with your painting style.

  3. They look great, Kevin. Not sure how you feel about plastics, but the Wargames Atlantic Renaissance Cavalry look similar to these figures. The set come with options for lances, swords, and pistols as well.

    1. Thanks Dean, oh yeah, I've got some of those. I will say the Flags of War metals are way nicer though. The Wargames Atlantic is nice to have to fill gaps.
