Well I finally got around to taking photos of Freeblades Urdagger tribe female slinger. Things are a bit upside down here in my household, but I am making it work.
I ended up finishing this one and putting on the clear coat, but my friend stopped by before I could finish with my dulcote. I figured since he had some flat spray, and he was here after all, that we could do the porch exchange and all would be happy land in Graceland.
He sent me some photos and I was like what is wrong with these pictures. It didn't look like the figure I painted. Thinking that might be the problem, iphone pictures as opposed to me setting up my handmade light box. I asked him to bring it back so I could have a hand at taking photos.
I was stunned upon seeing it. The face did not take his flat spray well. It took away color it seemed, or was to thick. I don't know but I was like wow. I tried hand painting gloss coat, followed by hand paint of mat, but this did not fix it. So I ended up repainting face. It does not look as good as first time, but a lot better than it did. I hand painted on mat finish and called it a day. The only proper way to fix this would be to strip the head and start all over again. This is why painters tell you to do thin coats and apply more than once. Cause once it's on thick, it just turns into a mess.
Any ways here is the finished product. Until next time.
Cheers
Kevin
